Speaking of scholarships, it’s time apply for the AAW Craft School Scholarships for 2020.   There have been some major changes.  Instead of a limited number of entries per chapter, based on total membership, ALL AAW members are eligible to apply.  Each interested AAW member applies on line no later than January 15, 2020.  Winners will be notified by January 21, 2020.  I am attaching a copy of the notification I received which has more details.  If you are not a member but sign up before January 15, 2020, you can also apply for a scholarship.

AAW is upgrading it’s Website the second week of December.  AAW is also announcing a new initiative, Chapter Affiliate Memberships.  Any non-member can sign up for a Chapter Affiliate membership for free for three months.  After three months you can upgrade to a paid membership.  Affiliate members are not eligible to apply for the Scholarships.  I am attaching a document with more details about this.

Our December meeting will be on December 14.  Tim Parker signed up to bring snacks.

The president’s challenge for this month is to turn a Christmas ornament.

Don’t forget to bring items for Toys for Tots.  I will deliver them to the local coordinator after the meeting.

Bring items for show and tell and the president’s challenge and the raffle.

Happy Woodturning
