Meeting Minutes From Dave Finn, Secretary
Monthly Newsletter from Len Coleman, President
There was a good turnout—21 members—for the June meeting. I had to miss the meeting to attend my grandson’s graduation celebration. Thanks to Karen Finn for standing in for me. I understand Das’s demonstration was very interesting. I realize it was a fairly advanced project, but I think it is good to see a member’s creativity.

Artilicious will be taking place again this year in downtown Adrian. It will be a one-day event, on Saturday, September 18, from 11:00 AM – 7 PM. We would like to have a booth again this year and do some turning demonstrations. Details still need to be worked out. Artilicious will also have the birdhouse auction in the library, so start working on your birdhouses to donate.
Our next meeting is July 10 at 10:00 AM at Christ Episcopal Church. I will miss the meeting again, since I will be on a Ohio/Mississippi River Paddleboat trip, traveling from Louisville to St. Louis.
As I have indicated at the last meeting, the officers of our club are now in the third year of our two year term. Our club by-laws call for a tenure of two terms. We really should be holding elections in the near future. Please consider running for one of these offices. You can be assured that the current officers will be around to assist you. Contact any of the officers if you have any questions. I know we have had a couple of people step forward for the Vice-President position and to cover the audio visual portion. We still need someone to step forward for other offices.
The president’s challenge for the June meeting is to turn a weed pot.
The demonstration for July will be by Lynn Southward. He will be showing how he created the violin he made.
Please bring items for show and tell and for the raffle.
Keep turning—safely
Len
