Who We Are

The Michigan-Ohio Woodturners are an official chapter of The American Association of Woodturners.  We meet once a month at Christ Episcopal Church at 720 Riverside Drive, Adrian Michigan.  Our meetings are on the second Saturday of the month and start at 10:00 AM.  Meeting last about 3 hours.

Each meeting we have an open forum (“Show & Tell”) for members to showcase showcase newly turned pieces or to get answers to questions.

Each month we also have a challenge project, allowing members to try something new or to put previously gained skills to work.

Each month we have a demonstration by one of our members or occasionally we will invite well known woodturners to demonstrate their skill and expertise.

A large part of our mission is education.  We have a mentoring program to share skills within the club, as well as community based activities to foster interest and skills in woodturning.

We participate in several local arts and crafts activities.  These include the Great Lakes Arts Festival in Adrian and Artiliscious in Adrian.  At these events we display woodturnings, as well as present turning demonstrations and offer hands on activities.
